Ghostnets haunt the Gabba

A stunning exhibition of clothes, creatures and creations woven from nets retrieved from the ocean in the far north of Australia is showing at Woolloongabba Art Gallery.

The works are remarkable in their own right: beautiful, striking, evocative and complex as the international interest in them has shown. The back story, though, gives this exhibition an extra couple of dimensions that will considerably broaden interest in it.
