NEVILLE –I’ve just finished marching for Julieka through Geraldton. It was heartbreaking and so hard – my little girl is dead and we still aren’t being given answers.

Knowing so many of you are standing with me is giving me the courage to keep going.

The media were there today. They’re asking questions of authorities about what happened to our baby girl – they can see we’re not being told everything. The stories in The Australian, ABC News and others show that. And there will be more to come tonight.

Premier Barnett’s response hasn’t been good enough. He knows that. After the rallies and media today – if he sees Julieka’s face spreading across social media tonight – he’ll know that he’s going to have start giving us real answers. It’ll be the start of getting real changes to stop our people dying in police custody.

Please share this image for Julieka tonight. We can make sure our leaders don’t sweep her death in custody under the carpet.

I’m heartbroken about my baby – but I have to speak out and demand action because if I don’t, other kids will die.  Our people are dying in custody.  Another family will lose someone in the next month if the statistics are anything to go by.

Thank you for your support, and please keep Julieka in your thoughts.

Carol
