However, Energy Minister Patrick Conlon said
the plan would not work for air-conditioners that are purchased
interstate, online or are transferred from house to house. “ETSA
already advises residents to tell them if they are in need of an
increase of power,” he said. “ETSA will still have no idea when
air-conditioners are replaced.”
